Balayage

Balayage is the next big trend in Hair ColorGisele Bündchen‘s bleached waves were among many fashionable heads of perfectly done Balayage highlights.  Working along with her natural wavy texture, the placement of these Balayage highlights show off her long layers and create movement and light reflecting sexy texture.

The word Balayage comes from the French word for “to sweep”.  Balayage is a freehand method of hand-painting a specially formulated bleach on individual strands of hair coinciding with the hair’s natural flow and texture.  A well-trained stylist exposes their talent by concentrating more mixture where it is needed to create a look that neither looks “just done”, or “in need of a root-touch-up”.

An advanced trained Balayage expert will agree there is simply no end to the customization that will be created for each client.  Weather it is subtle or bold, the look is achieved with Balayage highlights.  The favorite resulting feature of Balayage highlights is there is no longer  a “re-growth line at the root area.  Balayage highlights mimic nature’s way of highlighting our hair by creating a beautiful look of  “summer in the sun” highlights.  Hair should always be darker at the base of the hair shaft, or scalp area, and lighter at the ends, and not having light “roots” and dark ends.

If it is gray coverage you are worried about then BalayColor is the dual-process for you.  First a precision consultation will make sure the right base color is applied to your re-growth and Balayage highlights are added at the end of your hair to create a multi-dimensional look  with sun-kissed ends to play along side a fashionable haircut to create the illusion of a natural, more youthful look.

Balayage gives today’s “masters of the craft” more room to play and have fun, and not have to apply methodical streaks.  Foils aren’t used and precision weaving is no longer necessary.  Balayage highlighting provides ultimate control over the color application, allows for less outgrowth, more color contrast within the hair, and minimal damage to the hair, which is phenomenal for clients with longer hair.

I had no idea what “Baylage” was until I read this site.
